For more than 38 years, Peter Bouloukos has dedicated his career to helping restaurants, bars, hotels, resorts, nightclubs, and service-based businesses build organizations that thrive through Consistency, Integrity, and Trust. Peter's has owned and operated themed restaurant concepts, managed high-volume operations generating more than eight figures annually, and successfully guided organizations through start-ups, operational turnarounds, leadership development, menu engineering, inventory management, marketing initiatives, and organizational growth.
Known for his people-first leadership style, Peter believes that financial success is the natural outcome of strong cultures, engaged employees, and memorable guest experiences. His consulting philosophy—Hospitality First—focuses on developing leaders who inspire confidence, building teams that genuinely care for one another, and creating operational systems that deliver consistency every day. He believes guests return because they trust the experience, and employees stay because they trust their leaders.
Beyond consulting, Peter is passionate about mentoring others and giving back to his community. A graduate of Arizona State University, he has called Bozeman, Montana, home for more than fifteen years, where he has coached thousands of young athletes in soccer, football, basketball, and snow sports. As a Certified Professional Ski Instructor, he brings the same emphasis on preparation, safety, communication, and continuous learning to every organization he serves.
Throughout his career, Peter has contributed to the success of more than 2,000 live entertainment events, helped launch the Tempe Music Festival, supported Fiesta Bowl and Super Bowl-related events, and worked alongside hospitality professionals across diverse markets including California, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Montana, Idaho, and beyond. His nationwide network of industry professionals allows Close to Open Consulting to deliver broad expertise while providing personalized solutions for every client.
